Inspired by my family's own immigration story, Notes & Letters follows Joe Loula from war-torn Prague to a struggling piano shop in Chicago. He, shop-owner Charlie, aspiring composer Olivia, and businesswoman Nora, see their friendships, romances, businesses, and lives put to the test. Amid an encroaching WWI, music may be the only thing that keeps them together.​
